The Service Member Support program focuses on reducing the stress of military personnel, their families, and the community as a whole by increasing the awareness of suicide-related behaviors; training people to recognize the physical and psychological symptoms of PTSD and suicide; and teaching psychological resilience skills to offset the stress associated with experiencing a traumatic event.
Monday Morning Ministries provides an educational outreach to both our military community and to the civilian communities around each military installation.
Monday Morning Ministries provides assistance to the community by addressing the training and awareness needs of our senior officers at the field grade level (O4-O6) and our senior NCOs (E8-E9), as well as through encouraging all people to seek help whenever and however needed. Through speaking engagements and training seminars, we use our personal experiences and the lessons we have learned, to raise awareness of suicide risk, suicide-related behaviors, and suicide deaths for personnel in the military and once the leave active service. We believe there are modifiable risk and protective factors and moderators of suicide-related behaviors.
