Statement of Faith

Monday Morning Ministries bases its ministry on the following statement of faith:

• That the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17 (NASU)

• That there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt 28:19-20 (NIV)

• That Jesus was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, performed miracles, and atoned for our sins by dying on the cross.  His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father gives those who believe in him and who accept him as their Savior acceptance into heaven.  Christ will return in person in power and glory.

"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"-which means, "God with us." Matt 1:23 (NIV)

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Cor 15:3-4 (NIV)

• That every person has sinned and salvation only comes through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (NIV)

• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. Gal 5:16-17 (NIV)
